Listening

I listen closely to my body now.
I give it extra morning time to tell
me what it wants and where it aches and how
it needs to rest or move to feeling well.
Today I shuffled early in a spell
of near decrepitude in back and knee.
I gave myself two hours, woke each cell,
and rode my bike endowed with energy.
