See Saw

S302

The son is slapped and baited by his dad.
The daughter’s driven roomless from his place.
The mother cycles: sorry, anxious, mad
at father and his phone call of disgrace.

A counselor is talking to the son.
The daughter’s learned to laugh off her disgust.
The mother tries to manufacture fun
while searching for a lawyer she can trust.

Then Mom invites the father for a talk
and he agrees, reluctant but resigned,
so they arrange an hour for a walk
where he communicates a “never mind.”
He’s sorry that he hurt and caused them stress,
but knows they’ll understand: his life’s a mess.
