Cheryl told an anecdote to me –
reported an experience she had:
After training someone’s employee
and holding in her feelings, tight and mad,
she shopped for food in her own neighborhood,
and when she held out money to the clerk,
the cashier’s grasping wasn’t very good –
she missed and glared at Cheryl like a jerk.
So Cheryl uttered “take it” once or twice,
and finally the clerk received that cue,
with attitude and mien that wasn’t nice,
and meanly made the small change that was due.
So Cheryl went with instinct in the case
and hurled those little pennies in her face.
